We at Elferspot Magazine are constantly looking for exciting vehicles and their history behind them. Of course, we are particularly interested in the people who, driven by love and passion, turn these cars into special vehicles. This time we were allowed to talk to Rik, who owns a very special backdated Porsche SC. Hey Rik! Thanks for having you for this Elferspot-interview.

Our Project Cars — talk to us about yours. We take great pride in our various project cars, and much of our time is devoted to them. In many ways this is our favourite daily activity, whether it be for a customer, or for ourselves. As you may have noted from our September Newsletter there is a lot of interest in performance Porsches without the all-pervasive driver aids such as traction control, ABS, active suspension management, stability management, etc. These safety features, while a boon to the general motoring public, often make skilled drivers feel artificially constrained - and not just at the track, but on the road too.
The to Porsche is known internally as the generation, and they are a sweet spot in the model's history by retaining a classic look but still being relatively modern. These are the models that Singer Vehicle Design uses as the starting point for its restorations, and one of these coupes is the basis for DP Motorsport's latest creation. The company calls the vintage-looking coupe The Speedy Irishman because of its Irish Green exterior color. Touches like the vents below the headlights, metallic mirrors, and a revised engine cover backdate the car's appearance to look more like a model from the early s than the early '90s.
